Dr. David Howes

David Howes holds a PhD in Anthropology from the Université de Montréal. He teaches courses on law and society, culture and aesthetics. His research interests include Anthropology of the Senses, Anthropology of Consumption, Anthropology of Law and Canadian Studies. Dr. Howes is a full Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology as well as Director of the Special Individualized Programs (SIP). He also serves as the General Editor, Sensory Formations series from Berg, on the Editorial Board for the The Senses and Society, Director, Concordia Sensoria Research Team and Director, Culture and Consumption Research Group.
