Centre for Engineering in Society / District 3
The Centre for Engineering in Society helps students put technical knowledge into its social context. It provides awareness of the social impact of technology, and skills to communicate that impact to the public. In so doing, it helps build technologically skilled practitioners who take a leadership role in their community and their profession. District 3, Concordia’s centre for innovation and entrepreneurship, partners with CES and other stakeholders, including the Faculty of Fine Arts and John Molson School of Business. It connects Concordia students from all disciplines with mentors, industry, and faculty members to develop the skills of “innovation citizenship”, improving the world as change agents and leaders in technology entrepreneurship.
