GPCB 661 How to Survive Your First Year on the Job

Description

Experts agree that getting that first full-time job offer is not the finish line, but really just the start of another run. As you transition from the classroom to your first cubicle, you'll meet new colleagues, be exposed to arcane office etiquette and be asked to deliver highly measurable results under tight deadlines. Learning to perfect your presentation skills, spotlight your talents and polish your presence in the office can really kick-start your career. This workshop will present a few strategies aimed to help junior colleagues provide additional value in the workplace and prepare for a seat at the executive table.

Pre-workshop resource: "The 7 habits of highly effective people" by Stephen Covey.
